Since its inception in late 2016, the People & Culture Committee’s mission is to establish and improve company culture—working with and representing employees by first deliberating, then mobilizing on what’s important to PCM Canada employees. We aim to develop an environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, positivity, and fun.

The regional Social Committees are made up of volunteers who have the positivity and drive to help make PCM Canada a great place to work. These individuals work hard to put on events for their region, like monthly wing nights, or cake days, or raffles for charity, and a whole host of other fun and engaging initiatives for their fellow employees. The regional Social Committees are overseen by the People and Culture Committee, which also organizes events and employee perks, but on a national level.
PCM Canada gives back to our local communities across Canada. Here are some of the highlights from recent years:
PCM Canada 12 Days of Giving - PCM Canada has implemented an annual holiday tradition taking place in all regions across Canada! For 12 days in December, each region spreads holiday cheer throughout the organization and in the communities that we serve. In addition, we delegate a few the ‘Giving Days’ to spend time volunteering for charitable organizations that are meaningful to our employees.
Heart and Stroke Foundation - We sell Candy Grams in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Canadian Red Cross – We participate in partners for life with the Canadian Red Cross. The employees donate every 3 months (86 days) which allows our all of our staff members to participate. We also participate in the blood donor challenge as part of Corporate Challenge.
The Terry Fox Foundation – Canadian foundation dedicated to raising funds for cancer research. Inspired by Terry’s Marathon of Hope in 1980, PCM Canada participates in the annual Terry Fox Run in communities across the country. All donations help fund innovative cancer research in Canada!
Tim Hortons Timbits Minor Sports Program – Employees in Edmonton and Calgary have the opportunity to contribute a donation for a ‘season ticket’, which allows them to forego their usual business attire for their local NHL or CFL team’s jersey on game days. All proceeds go to the Tim Hortons Timbits Minor Sports Program, which enables more than 300,000 children aged four to nine to play house league sports in a fun, team building environment.
The Sunshine Foundation – We have designated Shorts and Sandals Weeks in the summer months, where employees can donate in order to participate in support of The Sunshine Foundation, which fulfills the wishes and dreams for Canadian kids living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.
DQ Miracle Treat Day – PCM Canada is pleased to support Miracle Treat Day for the 5th year this year! One dollar from each sale of Blizzards at DQ on Miracle Treat Day goes to the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
Food Banks Canada – works with 550 food banks and more than 3000 food programs across Canada. In addition to a range of food-related programs for adults and children, many also offer other forms of support. PCM Canada have supported Food Bank agencies, both nationally and locally, through donation drives throughout the year.
